The Mary 1 is a stunning example of a ball and claw Chippendale style chair that we rescued from The Nelson in Middleton by Wirksworth, Derbyshire, in a sorry state.
She was fully stripped, and the frame restored in our workshop before painting in Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black. We then built her back up finishing with the best fire retardant interliner available, a Crib 5 wool safe barrier, before recovering in a handpicked luxury fabric.
For this piece we chose Mary from British Designer Blackpop, a vintage inspired velvet.
