The Landscape is a beautiful example of an antique Prie Dieu chair that we rescued from a family in Nottingham in its original worn and torn tapestry.
She was fully stripped, and the frame restored in our workshop before Fred’s Shed Antiques and Restorations provided a French polishing service to her lignum vitae wood. We then built her back up finishing with the best fire retardant interliner available, a Crib 5 wool safe barrier, before recovering in a handpicked luxury fabric.
For this piece we selected Landscape in Teal and Spice by Mulberry Home, a contemporary textured embroidery, and finished the look with the decorative French Gimp trimming by Nina Campbell.
